Widely known for its enigmatic appearance, demand for black diamonds has increased manifold in the past few years due to an increase in popularity of unconventional jewellery among Indians. However, Black diamonds are not as rare as pink or yellow diamonds but, they are also not as common as the conventional white diamond. Widely used in manufacturing wholesale designer jewellery in India and sold in wholesale, black diamond is available in three types which vary in terms of price and physical appearance.

Have a look at types of Black Diamonds:
Natural Black Diamonds: - Found in countries like Brazil and central Africa, black diamonds get their colour naturally due to the presence of a large number of impurities in them during their formation process only. These fine black diamond pieces made up of clusters of graphite are completely opaque with a high lustre that gives the diamond a metallic look.

Treated Black Diamonds: - Most inferior white diamonds with a large number of inclusions present inside are known as “treated black diamonds”. These wholesale diamonds in India are available at very low priced and more suitable for industrial use in comparison to its use in manufacturing jewellery. Inferior white diamonds treated in industries under heat and irradiations produces these black diamonds.
Man-Made Black Diamonds: -
This is the most expensive type of black-diamonds available in the market. Also known as synthetic and man-made diamonds, these diamonds are made using hi-tech techniques in laboratories. The production of this diamond type is however very less as they are not profitable.
Black diamonds are nowadays available in many jewellery stores. Make sure you buy your jewellery from a reliable supplier and do check for its smoothness and cut before making the final decision. Prices also vary a lot as it largely depends on the type of black diamond used. I hope reading this will help you make the right choice.
